Two San Joaquin County Economic Development Agencies and the San Joaquin Partnership have worked
together with the County Board of Supervisors under the leadership of Chairman Elliott to develop a new incentives guide and local county incentive to expand and attract business investment that creates new jobs.
A new Business Incentives Guide, “Your Success Story Belongs Here,” serves as an introduction to all the incentives o ered has been published both in paper and digitally: www.sjcworknet.org/eda.asp.
In addition, on Jan. 23, the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors approved and authorized the immediate implementation of its Economic Development Incentive Policy (EDIP) to enhance the County’s competitiveness in attracting new capital investment that supports its goals of:
Creating new private sector employment opportunities
Increasing revenues to support County service delivery
Diversifying the economic base, and facilitating public
The EDIP will make available nancial incentives to qualifying businesses that meet speci c eligibility requirements. In addition to the aforementioned eligibility requirements, nancial incentives will only be o ered to business enterprises or projects primarily engaged in one of more of the following industry categories:
