San Joaquin County Asks for Community Input as It Prepares a New Website
May 10, 2016
San Joaquin County Government would like your opinion. They are developing a new and innovative website to deliver services to local residents. The County invites you to explore their test site and provide feedback to help create a valuable, user-friendly website.
The new website, one of the initiatives of the 2015 Government Innovation Lab led by Google, is a resource for San Joaquin County residents. The County has experienced one of the fastest population growth rates in California since 2000. It also has the seventh fastest job growth of any region for March 2016 -- a 4.1 % year-over-year increase, which exceeds both San Francisco and Silicon Valley.
“As our county continues to experience rapid population growth and a strong job market we envisioned a website that would serve all of our constituents -- residents, businesses, and farmers,” said Monica Nino, San Joaquin County Administrator. She added that it’s important to make the many services San Joaquin government provides accessible for the continued growth of the County.
The website, www.sjgov.org/beta/introduction, is in its initial development stage, and much of the site is available to review. Visitors to the new website should look for the box that says Feedback, click on it and share comments before Friday, June 17.
