iHub San Joaquin Leadership Series Features Jose Benitez Cong
September 25, 2015
iHub San Joaquin invites you to join the second event in their Leadership Series, “Start Small, Think Big: Forging Your Own Path to Success.” The event, featuring speaker Jose Benitez Cong, a startup founder and formerly talent development for Apple, Nest, and Google, is Wednesday, September 30, at 5:00 p.m. at the Stockton Arena at 248 W. Fremont Street in The Record Press Club, 3rd Floor.
The public is invited to attend this interactive conversation to gain insights from a Silicon Valley executive who chose to leave the corporate talent development world to pursue his own startup company.
“iHub was conceived to facilitate the success of entrepreneurship and small technology start-ups,” said Micah Runner, Stockton Economic Development Director and iHub Board Member, adding that this event coincides directly with the City Council adopted Economic Development Strategic Plan. “One of the core initiatives of our Strategic Plan is focused on entrepreneurship and innovation programs, we see these two areas as essential components of comprehensive employment growth.”
One of California's newest innovation hubs, iHub San Joaquin is part of a network of innovation hubs around the state that are charged with the task of accelerating economic activity. They provide the linkage between technology leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, and educational institutions through a variety of programs and services.
The iHub San Joaquin Leadership Series event, sponsored by the City of Stockton, the San Joaquin County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and Huddle, is free of charge and will offer light refreshments.
