Public Open House for State Route 4 (SR-4) Crosstown Freeway Extension Project

Caltrans, in conjunction with the San Joaquin Council of Governments (SJCOG), is hosting a public meeting to discuss the construction of the SR-4 Crosstown Freeway Extension Project. The project will improve the connection between I-5/Crosstown Freeway, the Port of Stockton and adjacent industrial uses as well as reduce industrial truck traffic through the residential Boggs Tract neighborhood.
In preparation for the start of construction, the public is invited to attend an informational meeting to learn more about the project and what to expect during construction activities.
WHEN: Tuesday, March 11 | 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. (brief presentation at 6:00 p.m.)
WHERE: Washington Elementary School Cafeteria, 1735 W. Sonora Street, Stockton
WHY: Participants will have the opportunity to review displays, hear a brief speak one-on-one with project team members.
The SR-4 Crosstown Freeway Extension Project will:
• Extend the Crosstown Freeway west from Fresno Avenue to Navy Drive
• Remove oncoming traffic into the Boggs Tract neighborhood at Fresno Avenue
• Convert Navy Drive into to a four-lane facility with auxiliary lanes and a partial interchange.
